An age-specific class containing ballet, tap, and jazz/creative movement.
The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment.
Dancers will also learn basic steps and terminology in all three styles. For example, all dancers will learn what a “plie” is and how to demonstrate one. The use of fun, age-appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies. The use of props such as hula hoops for the “freeze dance” makes the end of class the most fun!
We break our classes into Minis (ages 5-8yrs) and Youth (ages 9+) and offer all dance styles including Ballet/Lyrical, Tap/Jazz, Hip Hop/Acro Dance, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre.

We have a closed class policy. This means all parents are required to wait in the lobby during classes. There are viewing windows on the dance studio side. The last week of the month is “Passport” week. We allow parents to come to class the last 15 mins and view what their child has been working on for the month. Instructors are also advised to allow parents to always come the last 5 mins of class to watch, however may not happen weekly.
